Pat O'Briens began as New Orleans institution, but even though it's in its San Antonio location, you can still get the real New Orleans feel. Whether it's the fine Cajun architecture, to the piano players, the club will take you right back to its original Louisiana location, rich in the feeling and lifestyle of New Orleans. No matter what the weather, you can have a fantastic time enjoying a drink in Pat's lush, scenic garden, complete with local vegetation, umbrellas and that famous flaming fountain.

This is great spot to hit up if you're tired and hungry after a long trip through the Alamo. The menu contains many Louisiana favorites, such as Crawfish Etouffee, Jambalaya, Red Beans and Rice, Shrimp Creole, and their gigantic Moufletta, though there's also a wide selection of other odds and ends such as steak, chicken and even burgers. For those looking for a way to top their delicious meal, be sure to try their Strawberry Hurricane Cheesecake, topped with Pat's special strawberry hurricane sauce, or their signature bread pudding.

Pat O'Brien's is famous for their signature drinks, the most famous of which is The Hurricane, a fruity rum-based drink that is sure to keep you coming back for more. If you're looking for traditional fare, you'll find it here as well. If you're out on Wednesday make sure to come by, where they'll be celebrating their Wack Wednesday, where from seven pm to two am you can anything in the place for only two dollars. The other days of the week have plenty of great deals as well, so you're likely to have an affordable drink no matter when you happen to come by.

There may be many bars in San Antonio, but with such drinks and specials, and such a great New Orleans atmosphere, you can't do much better. San Antonio apartment-ites are not likely to find better drink deals than the ones Pat's, especially if you happen to come on Wednesday nights.
