Even today, the biggest name in Texas country, from Pat Green, to Kevin Fowler, to Randy Rogers, and of course Willie still makes regular appearances.
If the stars aren't enough reason to get you in the door, their huge dance floor is. Their gigantic outdoor patio is perfect for taking in the beautiful San Antonio nights while also enjoying a cold brew, and, of course, listening to the best in country. You can also have a seat at one of their many picnic tables, perfect for relaxing, taking in a few brews, or eating a delicious from their café menu. Just remember that these seats, that dance floor, and that stage have been graced by some of the greatest names in country music history, from Hank Williams, to Elvis Presley, B.B. King to Lyle Lovett.
If you're feeling a bit hungry, but still want to enjoy some fantastic live music, stop in at the Honky Tonk Café and enjoy a delicious meal and the best in country to boot. To start your meal, you can try Robert Earle's Farm Fresh Onion, Ernerst's Tub of Nachos, chicken fireballs, or Willie's Shotgun Chili, with tender beef chuck, shredded cheese, onions, and a secret blend of spices, served with their homemade bread. You can also try one of their delicious salads, or one of their famous tamales. For main course, you can enjoy some of their fresh barbecue, with your choice of one, two, or three meat plates, with choices of brisket, smoked chicken, sausage (regular or jalapeno), smoked pork loin or spare ribs, or try their Hank Sr, a gigantic chicken fried steak, or the Hank Jr, half the sized of the Hank Sr. Also, you could try one of their delicious baskets, with fried catfish, fried shrimp, steak fingers, or chicken strips, all served with french fries and gravy.
