San Antonio apartments dwellers have an edge on many people in the country because they have a river running through the center of town that offers all sorts of great activities including shopping, eating and watching performances a story below street level on a lush river. And if you have a San Antonio Riverwalk apartment, you are definitely on the edge of a happening place. The reality is, however, that

not many of us do have a San Antonio Riverwalk apartment, but that doesn't mean that the Riverwalk is off limits to us.
So where do you start on the Riverwalk? You may park at any number of downtown parking lots, street spots or hotels that are near the river, and possibly look online for a map from your San Antonio apartment to a particular restaurant or location on the Riverwalk.
Galleries, clothing and home décor stores dot the unique water's edge, along with lush landscapes and wonderful waterfalls. Plenty of areas of the Riverwalk provide a great get-away with friends from your San Antonio apartment.
A few of the restaurant options include Mexican food (of course), Italian, Cajun, Caribbean and good Texas barbeque. And certainly you can pick up a hot or iced coffee, an ice cream or just a beer to pour in a cup and walk around and people watch.
One of the favorite people watching locations on the Riverwalk has got to be shows at the open air Arneson Theater. The songs and dances of Argentina, Mexico, Spain and Texas are featured at the Friday and Saturday evening shows of Fiesta Noche Del Rio. Other excellent opportunities for the San Antonio Riverwalk apartment resident include a ride down the river on a water taxi, or even dinner on a River cruiser.
So wherever your San Antonio apartments are, you should make a plan to visit the San Antonio Riverwalk. And by the way, there is no charge to explore the Riverwalk and bring your dog!
